Stokn Beats

Stokn Beats is a Los Angeles based producer originally from New Hampshire. Stokn started making beats on garage band in 2012 that were rarely heard by anyone other than his brother and some friends. It wasn’t until Stokn moved into a house with his friends on a street named Brown Ave that his beats began to transform into productions and were heard by others that shared a passion for music. There were many people that came to the house on Brown Ave for the notorious parties so Stokn played his music and any rappers in attendance would freestyle. Stokn took it upon himself to get a microphone and some recording equipment to capture these moments. As he evolved in his production with keyboards, midi controllers, the number of lyricists that heard his music grew.

By 2016 Stokn was cranking out beats for most local rappers such as jaybthecanadian and Just For Kicks among others in the local scene and his productions were being heard by thousands. The more songs and music videos that he produced for the more his name spread through the New England rap scene the more lyricists came asking for beats. He had moved out of the house on Brown Ave but it wasn’t long before a new house brought together creatives and gave him a place to play his beats for lyricists. “The Yellow House” as it was known, may not have been Stokn’s place of residence but as an affiliate of both MOCG and LMTLSS Group he was always welcome.

He made more and more connections between meeting lyricists making music videos with Trevor Finney or recording their music with Thirteen13all in the home studio. Stokn enjoyed the growth but felt he would have to make some major changes if he was going to fully commit as a professional producer.

In January of 2018, Stokn and the LMTLSS team took a trip to Los Angeles working on the set of a Chris Brown & Joyner Lucas music video. He fell in love with California and knew what that next major change was going to be. The LMTLSS team purchased an RV and explored the west coast before heading across the country back to New Hampshire. As he arrived back home to the east coast he was surrounded by the familiar but so much had changed. By now Stokn had produced for artist such as the Glo Twinz and even Grammy Award winner Sirah. So, in May of 2018 he packed his bags, hopped in his car and headed back to California with his brother and a friend. On the way, his car was robbed in Colorado leaving him with nothing but the backpack he was wearing. Instead of turning around, he continued on to California and bounced from city to city producing a new song in every place he stayed until he set his roots. He has resided in the Golden State ever since.
