Kemic (born Kelsea McGuire on August 16th, 1991) is a hiphop artist from the North Shore of Boston, Massachusetts. She started writing at the age of 11 and was a vocalist in a few small bands throughout high school. At the age of 18, Kemic developed a passion for hiphop and started writing and recording her own music. Staring in 2018, Kemic released her first mixtape, fully engineered by herself called ‘Black Sheep’. Since then, she has released two albums, two EPs, and eighteen singles. With features from L0NE, No Gimic, Rich Sounds, Lo Wav, DJ Whysham, Lyfeontherise, Michael Murphy III, J. Faith and more, Kemic has made a name for herself around the Boston Hiphop scene. Traveling from NY, to Maryland and all over New England, Kemic has performed over 250 shows in her career. In 2024, Kemic won the title for ‘Best Rap Artist’ in the Crown Of The Jungle Awards. Kemic is also a part of rap duo ‘KNG’ alongside MOCG member No Gimic. Keep an eye out for a brand new project dropping in 2025.
